A chakra is an energy wheel in the body, we have seven of these which go from the base of the spine to just above our head. It is so important to keep the energy within our chakras balanced, for this optimises emotional, physical, spiritual and mental health.
The Sacral Chakra, also known as Svadhisthana (which means the dwelling place of the self), is located 2 inches below the naval, in the lower back/abdomen area and houses our creativity, sexuality, relationships and pleasure.
When this chakra is in balance you’ll feel:

Lack of creativity
Fear of change
If you feel any pain in your lower back / abdomen / hips / stomach it may be a sign that there are some emotional issues that need sorting out.
Make sure you look after your kidneys by staying hydrated and balancing your blood sugar levels, your stomach by taking a probiotic daily and by eating lots of fibre and lean meats and your large intestine by eating less red meat and exercise regularly.
A great way to immediately balance the sacral chakra is to envisage a bright orange light all around your lower abdomen and breathe deeply through your left nostril. To do this, cover your right nostril with your right thumb and breathe deeply for 10 breaths. There are other things that it is important you do… You must honour and respect your body, spend time outside and near water and say the affirmations below.
