A chakra is an energy wheel in the body, we have seven of these which go from the base of the spine to just above our head. It is so important to keep the energy within our chakras balanced, for this optimises emotional, physical, spiritual and mental health.
The Solar Plexus Chakra, also known as the Menipura, is located above the naval and is the centre of your self esteem & willpower and the core of your personality, identity & ego.
The gift of this chakra is sensing your personal power, being confident, responsible and reliable.
This chakra is totally about the perception of who you are, the challenge lies when you need to make sure that you use your personal power in a balanced manner. There are some key things which really deplete the energy of the solar plexus, namely when you judge, criticise or think any bad thoughts of yourself.
When your solar plexus chakra is out of balance you might experience:
Irritable bowel syndrome
Self worth issues
If I am ever feeling as though the energy is weak in my solar plexus, I sit down and close my eyes, I make sure that my back is straight and envisage a yellow light beaming straight into my chest. Something that you can also work on is the strength of your core, a strong core is important for the inner feeling of power and confidence.
Self love, self respect and self acceptance are the building blocks of the third chakra. When your solar plexus chakra is balanced you will feel strong and will consciously make wise decisions, have the ability to move forward in life with strength and confidence, you’ll feel abundant in the self-love and gratitude categories!
The Solar Plexus Chakra is associated with the digestive system, liver and gall bladder so make sure you’re keeping all of these organs healthy.
